Our Love Story
First Time We Met

Our story began 13 years ago in a university classroom in Germany. We were both 19 and starting our lives – Boryana was in 1 year of uni, while Roman had just finished high school. The next years we spent focusing on our individual paths and travelling abroad, meeting in airports and train stations, and spending the student holidays together. Our distance relationship took us to Portugal, Spain, France and Belgium, India and Nepal. In 2020 Roman made a big gesture by leaving his life in Rennes, France to move to Brussels and be with Boryana. Since then, we have been building our cosy home and even more exciting future together with the black cat Bagheera

Roman says about the relationship: Free and together – for twelve years we have shared our path through the world with countless adventures, challenges and shared dreams– with many more to come!
Boryana says about the relationship: from the first date all the way through 12 years until the proposal Roman has not stopped surprising me with his mind, humour and unconventional perspective. My favourites are the quiet days when we just drink coffee and laugh.
Our Marriage Proposal
December 31st , 2020
The big marriage proposal came unexpectedly (for Boryana) after 6 months of careful planning by Roman. She said ‘yes’ in the middle of the African Savana in a National park in Tanzania after fulfilling her dream to see the African wild animals on a safari. And of course, she said ‘yes’ – not only did Roman plan the whole trip, but he also made the ring himself. It was a perfect day in the African wilderness.

Our son Alec has been born just in time for the wedding and is ready to celebrate with all of us!
